Artist

For those who don’t know me...

My name is Anthony “Tony” Peters.  I am a native of Utah.  I am married to an amazing woman and have four great kids.

I have worked as a professional artist since I was about 15 years old. I started out making comic books, greeting cards and such and have had jobs in a variety of fields such as: motion pictures, television, video games and commercial art production. I’ve worked with big name studios such as Sony, Electronic Arts, Dreamworks, CBS, Paramount and am currently a full-time animation producer for a Salt Lake City engineering company.

I love to draw, mostly comic book and si-fi/fantasy type art.  My favorite medium is computer graphics and pencils/watercolors for traditional art.

I am self taught in the area of computer graphics. I am that old that they didn’t teach it when I was working on my degree.  I had to buy the software on my own and learn by experience.

Most of the 3D work that I do is done with a program called Lightwave. For an demo of how I made the cards click here.

While I am not a member of the United States Military, I have done a lot of work for the various branches and have ton of respect for them. In my work I get to “play” soldier on the computer.  I love to work with these guys...they never cease to amaze me.  “Ho-Ah!”  No matter what your feelings are on war, the members of the United States armed forces are something special. They deserve our love and respect.

In addition to being an artist, I have done some directing for short films.  I majored in Television and Film production and have always loved motion pictures.  Favorite film?  Easy...Raiders of the Lost Ark.  I can’t wait for Indy 4 this summer.

I feel pretty lucky to do what I do and get paid to do it.
